MIT NIE Labs is a compact specialized lab in the MIT Department of Earth Planetary Sciences. Our scope of work included the installation of 650 feet of high-purity stainless steel piping for sulfur hexafluoride, helium, oxygen, argon, nitrogen, and ammonia.
Due to the importance and volatility of gases, the installation of vented gas cabinets and switchover manifolds was required. Due to piping being exposed, craftmanship played a large role in the final.
